Holy cow, according to Allpar the Compatriot twins have been green lighted for the 2015 model year, meaning we'll likely see these things on the lot for another 2 years or so at least, maybe even longer depending on the replacement. This gets me thinking about a possible QOTD. What's the longest running mediocre car model? I wouldn't really count minor face lifts as a model change, but obviously things can get subjective here.

The Dodge Avenger feels like it has been around forever and no one seems to like those even though I see them EVERYWHERE.
How about the Chevrolet Beretta/Corsica? They went from 1987 to 1996 with virtually no changes, aside from the addition of a driver's airbag and a new dashboard in 1991.

I see. "Just refreshed" seems a bit generous, but of course that's a relative term. As is "a little longer" for that matter.
I think FIAT/Chrysler just can't launch new products as fast as they would like to, which is understandable.

Good choices.
I test drove an Avenger with the V6. Get up and go was good, but the suspension was a too compliant for my taste. Interior was sub par, too. This was way back before the interior was updated.

I have heard that Avengers with the V6 will haul ass. I wouldn't mind a 2014 R/T model with all the options. And a warranty for the impending transmission issue(s). :)
